Carmelo Aquilia

Carmelo Aquilia is currently serving as the Regional Operations Support Manager at WE Transport Inc./Towne Bus Corp./Van Trans LLC since May 2022. Previously, Carmelo held multiple roles at Maggies Paratransit Corp. from November 2004 to May 2022, including Project Director, Project Manager, and Operations Manager. In the capacity of Project Director and Project Manager, responsibilities included overseeing compliance with the NYCT 350 Vehicle Para Transit Contract and maintaining communications regarding the scope of work between Maggies personnel and NYCT Contract Management, Transit Operations, and Standards & Compliance. As Operations Manager, Carmelo managed a 300 Vehicle NYCT Access-A-Ride Para Transit depot, providing transportation services to the elderly and disabled across the Five Boroughs, Western Nassau, and parts of Westchester County.
