Abhay Bhargav

Abhay Bhargav has over 17 years of experience in the technology industry. Abhay is currently the Founder and Chief Research Officer of AppSecEngineer. Prior to this, they were the Founder and CEO of we45 Inc. from 2009-2020. From 2008-2009, they were the Application Security and PCI Compliance Lead at SISA Information Security Pvt Ltd. From 2003-2008, they were the Director of Academy for Corporate Excellence, where they handled the training, services, sales, and operations of India's largest selling Small and Medium Enterprise Resource Planning Solution. Abhay also delivered many training programs on the ERP Solution.

Abhay Bhargav has a diverse educational background. Abhay obtained their Bachelor of Commerce degree from Bangalore University in 2006. In the same year, they also obtained a Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 4 from Japan Language Board. In 2008, they obtained a Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor from PCI-SSC (Payment Card Industry - Security Standards Council). In 2009, they obtained a Certified Information Systems Auditor from ISACA. In 2010, they obtained a Web Application Penetration Testing from SANS. In 2011, they obtained an ISO-27001 Lead Auditor from ISC. Additionally, Abhay Bhargav holds a CISSP certification from (ISC)².
