Head Of User Research at Wealthfront

Andrew Crocco has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Andrew is currently the Head of Research (User Experience & Consumer Insights) at Wealthfront since January 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Senior Director, Consumer Insights at Wealthfront from July 2017 to April 2022.

Before joining Wealthfront, Andrew held positions at GoPro, where they served as the Director, Consumer Insights from November 2016 to July 2017 and as the Senior Manager, Consumer Insights from February 2015 to October 2016. At GoPro, they led the Consumer Insights team and was responsible for defining brand, go-to-market, and roadmap strategies.

Earlier in their career, Andrew worked at Egon Zehnder as an Associate from December 2013 to February 2015. In this role, they led research teams and conducted industry analysis, benchmarking, and trend analysis in the consumer technology and media sectors. Andrew also collaborated with a Senior Partner to grow the Media, Entertainment & Sports practice.

Additionally, Andrew worked at the University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained their PhD in Social Science from September 2007 to August 2013. Their research focused on collective identity, technology and society, and architecture and urban design. Andrew also served as a Graduate Fellow for Teaching Excellence.

Prior to their time at the University of Pennsylvania, Andrew had experience at Harvard University, where they served as a Freshman Proctor & Advisor from 2006 to 2007 and as an Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach from 2005 to 2007. Andrew coached the defense and led player development, contributing to the team's success in the NCAA tournament.

Andrew also worked briefly at Crispin Porter + Bogusky as an Assistant Content Manager, where they were part of the MINI Cooper account team and helped develop marketing strategies. Andrew also worked as a Program Manager at the Business Council for the United Nations.

Andrew Crocco attended Delbarton from 1993 to 1999. After completing their high school education, they went on to Harvard University from 1999 to 2003, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in African American Studies & History of Art and Architecture. Following this, from 2007 to 2009, Andrew attended the University of Pennsylvania and obtained a Master's degree in Communication. Andrew continued their education at the University of Pennsylvania, completing their Ph.D. in Communication and Urban Studies from 2007 to 2013.
