Design Director at Wealthfront

Patrick Mankins has a diverse work experience in the field of design and user experience. Patrick is currently working at Wealthfront as a Design Director since January 2022, where they previously served as a Senior Design Manager from June 2020 to January 2022. Prior to joining Wealthfront, Patrick worked at Artefact as a Senior UX Designer from December 2014 to June 2017, gaining expertise in various technologies and human contexts. During their time at Artefact, they engaged in projects for notable clients such as Tableau, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Intuitive Surgical. Before that, they worked at IBM as a Product Designer from July 2013 to November 2014. Patrick also gained valuable experience through internships at Tellart, NASA, and Akamai Technologies, which contributed to their skillset in design. In addition, they worked as a Drawing Instructor at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education in 2012.

Patrick Mankins began their education by attending the Rhode Island School of Design from 2009 to 2013. Patrick obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Honors degree in Industrial Design during their time there. In 2011 and 2012, Patrick briefly attended Brown University, where they focused on studying Chinese, although they did not complete a degree during that period. Prior to their time at Rhode Island School of Design, Patrick attended Harvard University Extension School from 2006 to 2009. During this time, they studied computer science and foreign languages. Lastly, in 2015 and 2016, Patrick furthered their education in the field of data science by attending General Assembly.
