Ernie de la Fuente

Ernie de la Fuente has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Ernie currently holds the position of Senior Director Business Applications and Architecture at PDI, where they report directly to the CIO and is responsible for managing Infor LX, EDI, data architecture, BI, Cognos, and integrations with third-party applications. Ernie is also involved in the migration to Dynamics 365.

Prior to their current role, Ernie served as the Executive Director Enterprise Systems at Shiseido for 16 years. In this position, they led key programs and projects related to developing and maintaining enterprise application systems. Ernie also managed project leaders, vendor resources, and in-house employees while mitigating and escalating project risks.

Before joining Shiseido, Ernie worked at Oracle/Peoplesoft JDEdwards for five years as the Technical Services Manager. Ernie successfully navigated through multiple company buyouts and managed the northern half of the JDE Atlantic Area technical services organization. Their responsibilities included promoting JDE technical services to customers and prospects, scoping and estimating work in the sales cycle, and assigning consultants to various JDE accounts.

Ernie's career at JD Edwards ERP began as an Application Programmer in 1990. Over the years, they progressed to roles such as Project Manager and eventually became the Manager of the National Technical SWAT Team. In this capacity, they led a team of 20 highly talented technical developers responsible for supporting accounts with the most difficulties across the country. Ernie effectively dealt with stressful situations and executive-level managers to address and resolve customer issues.

Ernie de la Fuente holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology. Ernie also has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in MBA Business Management from Seton Hall University. Prior to these degrees, Ernie attended Parsippany Hills High School. Furthermore, Ernie is currently in progress towards obtaining a PMI certification from the Project Management Institute.
