Jeanne Croteau

Jeanne Croteau has a wealth of experience in the field of education and writing. Jeanne started their career in 2007 as an Entertainment Editor for DEFY Media, where they created daily digital content in the form of movie, music, and television recaps, reviews, and news. Jeanne also maintained relationships with press agents and production studios, and used WordPress and HTML to publish content and embed images and videos. In 2011, they became a Staff Writer for Megan Media LLC / SocialMoms and a Travel Medical Case Manager for Allianz Partners. Jeanne also worked as a Staff Writer for eComEngine, LLC in 2017 and a Contributor for Forbes in 2018.

In 2014, Jeanne began working as an Adjunct Professor for Bryant & Stratton College and a Human Resources Recruiter for the University of Virginia. In this role, they drafted and posted vacant positions, screened resumes, conducted interviews, verified references, negotiated and delivered verbal offers, and formally extended offer letters. Jeanne also partnered and collaborated with hiring managers, customized job descriptions, and served as a liaison with hiring managers and candidates to streamline the recruitment process.

In 2015, Jeanne began working as a Faculty Team Lead and Adjunct Professor of Psychology for Southern New Hampshire University. In this role, they taught psychology, sociology, and anthropology and was committed to providing a flexible, inclusive learning environment for their students. In 2020, they became a Content Writer for WeAreTeachers.

Jeanne Croteau has an extensive education history. Jeanne obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Athabasca University in 2006-2008, followed by a Master of Science in Psychology from Capella University in 2013-2014. Jeanne then obtained a College Teaching Certificate from Capella University in 2016-2023. In 2021, they obtained a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from MyTEFL. Jeanne is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Psychology from Capella University, and has also obtained a MicroMasters in Instructional Design & Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Additionally, they have certifications in College Teaching and Hypnotherapy from Capella University and the National Guild of Hypnotists, respectively.
