Jamie Nelson

Head of DevOps at Wearsafe Labs

Jamie Nelson has worked in the technology industry since 2004, starting as an IT Engineer for Fisheye Ltd. In 2009, they became the Director for The Common Room, where they did research and feasibility assessments and provided insight into the technology market. In 2012, they moved to Analogue Ltd as a Senior Technical Director. In 2016, they took on the role of Principal Cloud Consultant at The Instillery, where they worked with large production servers in a hybrid cloud environment. In 2019, they became the Head of DevOps at Wearsafe Labs and an Open Source Developer of DevOps Tools as an Independant.

Jamie Nelson's education history includes attending Western Springs College from 1995 to 1999 and taking courses with The University of Auckland. Additionally, Nelson has obtained several certifications, including AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services in February 2017, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in October 2016, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate from Amazon Web Services in September 2016, VMware Certified Professional from VMware in March 2014, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist from Microsoft in October 2009, Designing and Implementing Databases with Microsoft SQL Server from Microsoft in June 2009, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services in July 2017.
