Alejandro de Castaneda

Vice President Finance - Fp&a at Weatherford

Alejandro de Castaneda has extensive work experience in finance and business operations. Alejandro started their career at GE Infrastructure in 2002 as an FMP. Alejandro then moved to GE Oil & Gas in 2004, where they held various roles such as CSA - Finance Analyst, Finance Manager - Latin America, FP&A - Income Statement Leader, and Finance Manager - Drilling Equipment. In 2014, they became the Global FP&A Executive- Downstream Technology Solutions, supporting the consolidation of the newly created business.

In 2017, Alejandro joined Exterran as Vice President Finance - FP&A, where they directed the FP&A function and partnered with the CEO, COO, and CFO to implement new operating rhythms and processes across the company. Alejandro later took on the role of Vice President - Commercial and Business Operations - Americas, leading commercial and business operations in the USA and LATAM. During their tenure at Exterran, they led the largest and most profitable region in the company, exceeding the operating plan for two consecutive years.

In 2023, Alejandro joined Weatherford as the Vice President Finance - FP&A.

Alejandro de Castaneda's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IE Business School in 2001-2002, and completion of the Financial Management Program (FMP) at General Electric Corporate from 2002-2004.

In 2012-2014, Alejandro participated in the Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) at General Electric Corporate.

Alejandro also attended Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2013 for the Global Energy Seminar in the field of Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law, and in 2014 for the Driving Corporate Performance program.

Before their business-focused education, Alejandro obtained a degree in Law (MD) from CEU in 1995-2000.
