George Stamatakis

George Stamatakis has a strong background in data engineering and software development. In their most recent position at WeatherXM, they served as a Data Engineer starting in December 2022. Prior to that, George worked at MORO TECH as a Data Engineer from July 2021 to July 2022. In this role, they were responsible for designing and maintaining efficient data manipulation workflows and orchestrating scalable ETL workflows within the AWS ecosystem. George also gained experience as a Researcher and Developer at Athena Research and Innovation Center from May 2019 to July 2022, where they focused on cross-platform query optimization, realtime stream processing, and ML pipelines. In addition, they worked as a Back End Developer at iprovidenow Ltd for a brief period in 2018.

George Stamatakis completed their education from 2013 to 2019 at the Technical University of Crete, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Additionally, in June 2021, they received the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
