Marissa Harrington

Violence Response Team- Sexual Assault Victim Advocate at WEAVE

Marissa Harrington is an experienced Sexual Assault Victim Advocate currently serving as part of the Violence Response Team at WEAVE since February 2021, embedded within the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Investigation Division. Harrington has extensive experience in supporting victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, having previously worked as a Community Health Outreach Worker at Alameda Health System, where responsibilities included providing support during emergency department visits and court accompaniments. Additional roles include serving as a Server at Vine & Grain and a Budtender at Velvet Cannabis. Marissa has a Bachelor's degree in Community Health Sciences with a minor in Addiction Prevention and Treatment from the University of Nevada, Reno, where relevant early experience included an internship focused on sexual health education and outreach.
