Melissa Morine

Melissa Morine has a diverse work experience in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP). Melissa'smost recent role as a Principal NLP Engineer at Weave began in February 2023. Prior to that, they served as the NLP lead at Vydiant from June 2018 until February 2023. Melissa also worked as a Principal Investigator at COSBI from June 2011 to June 2018. In addition, they held the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Trento from February 2013 to February 2015 and worked as a Research Assistant at the University College Dublin from January 2011 to June 2011.

Melissa Morine obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Dalhousie University, which they attended from 2000 to 2005. Melissa then pursued a Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics at the same university from 2005 to 2007. Melissa further enhanced their education by earning a PhD in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from University College Dublin, where they studied from 2007 to 2011.
