Matthew Clark Smith

Matthew Clark Smith, CPA, currently serves as an International Tax Manager and Supervisor at Weaver since November 2021. Previously, Matthew held the position of Senior Tax Consultant at KPMG US from October 2017 to November 2021 and gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas from August 2016 to May 2017. Early in the career, Matthew worked as a Summer Intern with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in 2016 and as a Tax Intern at KPMG earlier in 2016, where responsibilities included preparing tax returns and financial documentation. In earlier roles, Matthew served as a Handler and Courier at FedEx from 2013 to 2015 and worked as an Auto Technician at North Central Ford from 2006 to 2013. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas and an Associate of Arts from Collin College.
