Vladimir Kalchenko

Vladimir Kalchenko has a strong background in software engineering, with a particular focus on ecommerce solutions using Magento. Vladimir is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Web Solutions NYC. Prior to this, they worked for Gorilla Group for eight years, starting as a Magento 1 Developer and eventually becoming a Magento 2 Lead Dev. In this role, they were responsible for project implementation, including sprint planning, code review, and technical documentation. Vladimir also led a group of developers and completed several Magento version upgrades and integrations with third-party services. Before joining Gorilla Group, Vladimir worked as a PHP Developer for both Freelance and UkrTechInfo.

Vladimir Kalchenko obtained their Engineer's degree from Pre-Azov State Technical University in Mariupol, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, they have also earned several additional certifications. In 2014, they became a Magento Certified Developer Plus. Subsequently, in 2018, they obtained the titles of Magento 2 Associate Developer and Adobe Certified Professional-Magento Commerce Developer. Later that year, they acquired the certification of Adobe Certified Expert-Magento Commerce Developer and became a Magento 2 Professional Developer. Most recently, in December 2020, they completed the course "Developing web services with Go - basics" from Coursera.
