Jason van der Poel

Jason van der Poel is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in energy and infrastructure project development and financing transactions across Sub-Saharan Africa. Currently a Partner in the Projects Practice at Webber Wentzel, Jason has held this position since June 2019 and previously served as a Partner at Allen & Overy (April 2015 - May 2019) and earlier at Webber Wentzel from June 2005 to March 2015. Jason began in legal practice as an Associate at Allen & Overy LLP in Amsterdam (July 2002 - May 2005) and started as a Candidate Attorney at Bowman Gilfillan Inc. (January 1999 - May 2002), where involvement spanned rotations in mergers and acquisitions and labour law while pursuing an LLM in Banking and Finance Law.
