Yael Shafrir

Yael Shafrir has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Yael started their career at Webber Wentzel in 1995 as a Partner in the Corporate and International Trade practices. Yael gained experience in corporate drafting, M&A, and trade actions during their time there until 2000.

After that, Yael worked at Insinger de Beaufort Bank as the MBO Deal team lead, managing the management buyout sale process of the Global Trust and Fiduciary business to private equity.

Yael then joined Equity Trust (now TMF Group) in 2003 as part of the Group Business Projects/Deal and Strategy Team until 2006.

Yael then moved to NIBC Bank in 2007 as the Vice President of Corporate Finance M&A Advisory, where they worked until 2009.

Yael then joined Linklaters as the Head of Business Development and Marketing in Amsterdam. Yael also served as the BD Coordinator for Western Europe until 2013.

In 2014, Yael returned to Webber Wentzel, where they held multiple roles. Yael initially served as the Head of Business Development until 2016, responsible for establishing key alliances and managing relationships across Africa. Subsequently, they became the Associate Director in the Competition, Trade & Investment Practice, and currently holds this position.
