David Gordillo has a diverse work history spanning several industries and roles. David is currently working as a Senior Project Manager at WebCreek, a position they started in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Instructor of the Agile Organizations program at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, starting in November 2022.
In 2018, David became a Partner at R2G. Before that, they were an Instructor at DEC (Insurance School) from March 2021 to July 2022. David also served as a Scrum Master and Innovation Consultant at Katapulta, a corporate and startup accelerator, from January 2021 to March 2022.
From 2017 to 2021, David worked as an Independent Consultant at Dunathelia, where they focused on Data Science projects related to IoT-based auto insurance and medical prescriptions analysis. During this time, they also held positions at WOW Innovation Partners as an Associate Consultant, The Edge Consulting as an Associate Consultant, and StrategyLab as a Partner, where they specialized in strategy, innovation, and agile methodologies.
Earlier in their career, David spent over 18 years working at IBM. David held various roles, including GBS Delivery Country Manager, Maximo Consultant, GBS Ecuador Focal Lead, OATS LCM Project Manager, OATS PDTL, GBS Project Manager for General Motors, OATS Global Deployment Team Leader, OATS Asia Pacific Deployment Leader, OATS Software Developer, and OATS Help Desk Support for IBM Latinamerica. In these roles, they gained extensive experience in project management, consulting, and software development.
David Gordillo's education history is as follows:
- From 1997 to 2003, they attended Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas - ESPE, where they earned a degree in Ingeniero en Sistemas (Systems Engineering) with a field of study in Informática (Informatics).
- In 2005, they completed a Master Executive program at Escuela de Organización Industrial, specializing in Knowledge Management.
- In 2005 and 2007, David obtained Proficiency in English through a program offered by Comisión Fulbright.
- In 2014, they enrolled at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a field of study in Master of Business Administration.
- In 2015, David participated in the Babson Build: The Entrepreneurship Program for University Students at Babson College, focusing on entrepreneurship.
- In 2017, they attended three different programs: "Digital Transformation: Business Analytics and Big Data Management" at The George Washington University School of Business, "Digital Strategies For Business: Leading The Next Generation Enterprise" at Columbia Business School, and "Design Thinking for Innovation" at the University of Virginia.
- In 2018, David pursued additional education in "Hello Design Thinking" at IDEO.
- From 2018 to 2020, they pursued a Máster en Business Analytics y Big Data (In Progress) at Universidad Camilo José Cela.
- In 2019, they completed the "Mastering Design Thinking" program at MIT Sloan School of Management.
