Shay Cichocki

Shay Cichocki's work experience includes a role as a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Webflow since August 2020. Prior to that, Shay worked at Help Scout from March 2015 to June 2020, where they were a Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions for a Help Desk product. During their time at Help Scout, Shay also facilitated the PHP Guild and worked on various products and integrations. Before that, Shay worked at LearningStation, Inc. as a Full Stack Developer from May 2012 to March 2015. In this role, they designed responsive UIs and efficient APIs using technologies such as Backbone, Python, and Flask. Additionally, Shay has experience with various tools and technologies including D3 and Google Charts for data-driven reports, rabbitmq for asynchronous tasks, and websockets via Pusher and Socket. Prior to their career in software engineering, Shay worked as a CSA at Lowe's Companies, Inc. from June 2008 to August 2010.

Shay Cichocki pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Appalachian State University from 2006 to 2013. Following that, Shay continued their education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, with an expected completion in 2022.
