Christopher S. Brown

Christopher S. Brown has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology and Security field. In 2019, they were appointed as the Chief Information Security Officer for WEBIT Services. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer for the Chicago Stock Exchange from 1997 to 2019. In this role, they oversaw and structured the cybersecurity program based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Christopher S. also successfully modernized and upgraded security system components by implementing next generation firewalls, AI-based threat prevention, SIEM, FIM and email security. Additionally, they were responsible for all aspects of technical/business operations including server/desktop administration, network infrastructure administration, storage, help desk, 24x7 operations, backups, job scheduling, systems/performance monitoring, capacity planning, and BCP/DR. Christopher S. also managed the first migration to a remote data center for trading operations and improved operational performance and consistency by automating manual tasks and implementing a detailed checklist of all necessary operations to help eliminate human error. Christopher S. also held the roles of Vice President, Trading Operations and Director, Operations and Quality Assurance.

Christopher S. Brown obtained their MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Benedictine University, and their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same institution. Christopher S. also holds a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA, which they obtained in April 2019.
