Samantha Zimmerman

Samantha Zimmerman is an experienced creative manager currently working at WebMD Ignite since May 2024, overseeing medical illustration style and enhancing patient education materials. Prior experience includes a senior role at Healthwise from April 2016 to July 2024, where project management, art direction, and maintaining a comprehensive atlas of over 2,000 medical illustrations were key responsibilities. Samantha authored the Healthwise Medical Illustration Style Guide and mentored new artists. Earlier career experiences involved biomedical illustration and visual storytelling for various clients at szbioart.com and roles in instructional media and medical art at Monarch Teaching Technologies and Cleveland Clinic, respectively. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biomedical Art and Illustration from Case Western Reserve University and also studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
