Carol Dersarkissian

Carol DerSarkissian, MD, is a board-certified emergency physician. Since 2002, she has practiced clinical medicine in large, high-acuity hospitals including NYU/Bellevue Hospital and USC/Los Angeles County Hospital. DerSarkissian is currently an attending emergency physician at the Veteran's Association Hospital in New York City and a clinical assistant professor at NYU.

From 2010 to 2017, DerSarkissian was the director of quality improvement for the Emergency Department of the Manhattan Veteran's Association Hospital.

DerSarkissian is also an active member and panelist in the digital health start-up space and initiatives. DerSarkissian advises start-ups on the practical need and medical viability of their platform.

In 2010, she started her own medical advising company to help patients better understand their health and empower them to make more informed decisions regarding their medical needs.

Between 2005 and 2008, DerSarkissian joined the strategic planning division of Sudler & Hennessey in order to expand her knowledge of the health care communications industry. As a part of Sudler & Hennessey's strategic division, DerSarkissian applied her clinical expertise to client assignments in the therapeutic fields of oncology, cardiology, infectious disease, pulmonology, and gastroenterology.
