Iwona Misiuta, PhD, MHA has a diverse range of work experience primarily in the medical and healthcare industry. Iwona currently holds the position of Sr. Medical Director at WebMD since 2021. Previously, from 2014 to 2021, they worked as the Manager of Educational Strategy and Content at Med-IQ, LLC. Their responsibilities involved managing multiple educational activities and therapeutic categories such as neurology, hematology/oncology, psychiatry, urology, anesthesiology, and endocrinology. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2006, they worked as an Assistant Medical Director at Synapse Medical Communications. In this role, they oversaw the development and submission of proposals, identified key thought leaders, and led teams in project execution.

Iwona began their career as a Graduate Researcher at the University of South Florida from 2001 to 2005, and later served as an Administrative Resident at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System in 1998.

Iwona Misiuta, PhD, MHA completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology at Rutgers University from 1994 to 1998. Iwona then pursued a Master's degree in Health Administration at Tulane University from 1998 to 2000. Following this, they went on to earn a PhD in Pharmacology and Neuroscience from the University of South Florida from 2001 to 2005.
