Alexandra Popken has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2023, they joined WebPurify as the VP of Trust & Safety, where they oversee content moderation solutions for clients across industries. Prior to that, they served as a Board Member for Oligo Nation. Alexandra spent a significant portion of their career at Twitter, starting in 2013. Alexandra held positions such as Senior Director of Trust & Safety Operations, where they led a global organization responsible for enforcing platform policies and managing content moderators. Alexandra also served as Senior Director of Business Integrity Operations, leading a team focused on maintaining the integrity of Twitter's revenue products. Alexandra's earlier roles at Twitter included Director of Business Integrity Operations, Senior Manager of Policy Operations, Manager of Policy Operations, Associate Manager of Policy Operations, Senior Policy Operations Specialist, and Policy Operations Specialist, each with increasing responsibilities in content moderation, policy enforcement, and team management. Before their time at Twitter, Alexandra worked at Fisher Investments as a Client Services Team Lead, Client Programs member, and Client Communications specialist. Alexandra Popken has a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of California, Davis. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications including a Wharton Executive Education Certificate in Business from Wharton Executive Education in May 2017. Alexandra also holds a WSET Level 1 and Level 2 Award in Wines from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, obtained in November 2021 and August 2022 respectively. Furthermore, they are a member of the Trust & Safety Professional Association and the Integrity Institute, both obtained in May 2023.
