Rachel Anderson

Assistant Coach, Softball at Webster University Leiden

In 2023 Anderson enters her second season as assistant coach at Webster University. Prior to coaching she was an NCAA/NFCA Division I All-American at Southeast Missouri State University where she played outfield.

Highlights of her career include a career batting average .412, Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) 2019 Player of the Year, OVC 2017 Freshman of the Year. In 2017 she was named to the Schutt Sports/NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year Top 25. She was named to the all-conference OVC 1st team four years. Anderson was a 3-time NFCA All-Region player. At SEMO, she started every game over a five year period (231 games), including COVID year. She ranked 54th out of the top 100 players in 2020 by Softball America.

Anderson was SEMO’s all-time career leader in batting average (1st, .412), slugging percentage (1st, .695), on-base percentage (1st, .505), runs scored (1st, 173), hits (1st, 277), doubles (3rd, 41), triples (1st, 31)(T10th ALL-Time NCAA DIV I), home runs (4th, 29), RBI (2nd, 160), total bases (1st, 467), walks (1st,108) and stolen bases (2nd, 59).

In 2020 she was COSIDA Academic All-American, 2 time OVC Academic Medal of Honor , 2020-2021 SEMO Female Athlete of the Year.
