John Leary

John Leary serves as Managing Director of Business Process Optimization at Webster Bank, a role held since July 2013, and previously held the position of Vice President of Continuous Improvement. Leary played a critical role as IT and Operations Program lead during a merger that enabled rapid asset growth from $32 billion to $60 billion, focusing on core systems and applications conversions to enhance customer experience. In earlier roles at Webster Bank, Leary managed significant IT projects, including Corporate Information Security initiatives, and contributed to PMP certification training. Prior to Webster Bank, Leary worked at Aetna, Inc., where as Process Efficiency Lead, managed a team of over 100 professionals and achieved substantial reductions in monthly installation adjustments. Leary holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Fairfield University.
