Matt Kane

Matt Kane is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in senior roles within the banking and capital sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director at Webster Bank since March 2015, Matt has previously held significant positions at GE Capital from September 2001 to February 2015, including Senior Vice President, where responsibilities included underwriting senior secured cash flow loans and equity tags, particularly in the Telecom, Media, and Technology industries. Earlier career roles at GE included Vice President and Assistant Vice President in corporate audit, where Matt managed a global team for a significant acquisition and conducted numerous financial audits. Matt began a career in finance through the Financial Management Program at GE Power, completing diverse rotations and graduating in the top 10% of the class. Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from the College of the Holy Cross, enhanced by foundational education at Thayer Academy.
