Kiel Hume

Kiel Hume is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in public relations and corporate communications. Currently serving as Vice President and Head of Global Communications at WEBTOON since 2024, Kiel oversees PR and communications for WEBTOON Entertainment's platforms and brands, including Wattpad and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios. Previously, Kiel held the position of Head of International PR & Communications at WEBTOON (2021-2023) and directed global PR and corporate communications at Wattpad (2017-2021), where significant achievements included leading a brand transformation. Early career highlights include serving as Account Director at Environics Communications, managing notable clients such as Netflix and Dell EMC, along with writing for Exclaim! and consulting at GCI Group. Kiel holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in English and Cultural Studies from McMaster University, in addition to a course on Successfully Managing People from Schulich School of Business at York University.
