Tom Smith

Tom Smith is an accomplished operations leader with extensive experience in the manufacturing sector. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at Weco Manufacturing Group since July 2025, Tom previously held the same title at Graver Technologies, LLC, where focus centered on enhancing team development and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Prior to that, Tom spent 18 years at Garlock Family of Companies in various roles, including Product Manager and Operations and Engineering Manager, where significant contributions included leading commercialization efforts, overseeing large manufacturing teams, and implementing automation strategies that improved efficiency. Tom began his career as a Manufacturing Engineer at Southeastern Container, co-leading a Six Sigma project that resulted in substantial cost savings. Tom holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech.
