Dina Salem has worked in the software engineering field since 2004. In 2004, they worked as a Software System and Testing Engineer at SySDSoft Inc. where they designed and developed a high rate CDMA-DO user terminal protocol stack and an IEEE 802. 16d (WiMAX) base station and mobile station protocol stack. Dina also implemented parts of both products according to the required specifications and created and applied hundreds of test scenarios to assess compliance of the implemented product with the corresponding standard. From 2006 to 2010, Dina Salem worked as a Researcher and Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Calgary. In 2013, they worked as a Software Engineer at SRD Innovations Inc. where they provided complete network analysis, including collision statistics, congestion points, and optimal node locations, and implemented several hyMeshTM algorithms and FTP client/server modules in compliance with IEEE 802. 11n high throughput algorithms and functionality. Dina also designed and developed a complete manufacturing utility responsible for processing the purchase orders, firmware flashing, and final testing. Finally, from 2014 to present, Dina Salem has worked at Wedge Networks Inc. as a Lead Software Engineer, Scrum Master, and QA Analyst.

Dina Salem obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary in 2010. Before that, they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University in 2006. Dina also earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University in 2004.
