Larry Jopek

VP of Marketing & Community Partnerships at WEDU PBS

Larry Jopek has over 40 years of experience in the media industry. Larry began their career in 1978 as General Sales Manager at KSHB-TV. In 1986, they moved to WFTS-TV, also as General Sales Manager. In 2002, they joined WEDU as Vice President of Marketing & Community Partnerships. In this role, they showed for-profit companies and non-profit organizations how to build brand awareness by joining forces with PBS programs. Larry also helped non-profits and community coalitions create and implement effective marketing campaigns to bring awareness for their missions. Their personal philosophy is that "we will always live in changing times."

Larry Jopek attended Morton College from 1968 to 1970, where they studied Accounting and Business/Management. Larry then attended Northern Illinois University from 1970 to 1972, where they received a BS in Marketing, Actg, Mgmt, Bus. Law, and Economics.
