Natalie Santana Melendez

Natalie Santana Melendez has diverse work experience in various industries. Natalie currently works as a Content Coordinator at WEDU PBS, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at YES Prep Public Schools, including being an Environmental Science, AP Environmental Science, and AP Human Geography Teacher from June 2021 to June 2022, an Environmental Science, AP Environmental Science, and Biology Teacher from June 2020 to June 2021, and a Math 6 Teacher from July 2019 to June 2020. Natalie also served as a 2019 Corps Member at Teach For America from February 2019 to May 2021. In addition, Natalie has previous experience as a Sales Associate at Nordstrom from December 2018 to February 2019, a Botanical Gardens Intern at the University of South Florida from May 2018 to July 2018, a Retail Associate at Michael Kors from September 2016 to November 2017, and a Teacher's Assistant at Chestnut Hill College from August 2015 to May 2016.

Natalie Santana Melendez holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida, along with a minor in Political Science. Natalie also obtained various certifications including the AP Human Geography Summer Institute Certification from The College Board in July 2021, the Core 4-8 Teaching Certificate from the Texas Education Agency in August 2020, the English Second Language Supplemental Teaching Certificate from the Texas Education Agency in August 2020, and the AP Environmental Science Summer Institute Certification from The College Board in July 2020.
