Chelsea Avery has a diverse work experience. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Medical Speech Language Pathologist at various healthcare facilities, where they provided services to trauma hospitals, SNFs, and VA facilities. During their tenure, they implemented evidence-based treatment plans, achieved a reduction in readmission rates, and optimized the usage of Epic EMR software. In 2022, Chelsea worked as a Software Engineer at 100Devs, where they collaborated with a team to develop web applications using agile methodologies. Chelsea also worked as a Freelancer, specializing in web development, content creation, and marketing. Currently, they are working as a Support Engineer at Weedmaps, where they focus on improving the product and making the platform a best-in-class experience for customers.

Chelsea attended Northwestern University from 2017 to 2019, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist.

Prior to that, in 2012 to 2013, Chelsea attended the University of Colorado Boulder and earned a Certificate in Creative Technology & Design from the Atlas Institute.

From 2009 to 2013, Chelsea also attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where they earned a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on French & Film.

In addition to their academic degrees, Chelsea has obtained several certifications. These include a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech and Hearing Association in June 2020. Chelsea also holds a Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences Leveling Certificate from Metropolitan State University of Denver, obtained in May 2017. Chelsea's other certifications include the Lyft Software Development Early Talent Access Program from Lyft in July 2022, an Atlas Institute; Creative Technology & Design (CTD) Certificate (formerly known as Technology, Arts, & Media) from the University of Colorado in December 2013, and a QMAP certification from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in July 2010.
