Cory Pearson

Cory Pearson has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. They started their career as an Accountant at the City of Newport Beach in February 2007, where they played a significant role in preparing and auditing the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). They also interacted with external auditors and prepared financial reports for state and federal granting agencies. In July 2015, Cory joined Weedmaps as an Accounting Manager. In this role, they managed and oversaw daily operations in the Finance Department, identifying inefficiencies and providing recommendations for process improvements. They delegated assignments and determined priorities and timelines to meet deadlines. Recently, in February 2021, Cory was promoted to the position of Senior Accounting Manager at Weedmaps. The end dates for both roles at Weedmaps and City of Newport Beach are not provided.

Cory Pearson holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Long Beach State University. During their time at the university, they pursued a double major in Accounting and Business Management.
