Dennis O'Neil has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade in various roles within the design field. Dennis started their career as a Graphic Artist at Division-E in 2008. Dennis then worked as a Senior Graphic Artist and Web Designer at Acropolis Apparel from 2007 to 2009, where they created graphics for apparel and developed an e-commerce storefront.
In 2009, Dennis freelanced as a Graphic Artist for Tommy Bahama and also worked as a UX/UI Designer and Creative Director at High View Productions. At High View Productions, they developed human-centered design guidelines, built a custom CMS solution, and produced promotional photography and graphics.
From 2010 to 2011, Dennis worked as a Senior UX/UI Designer and Developer at Extreme Creative, where they focused on designing and developing applications and websites while driving new technologies.
In 2011, they joined Pear as a Lead UX/UI Designer, where they designed the front-end of the application, built brand standards and style guidelines, and collaborated in cross-functional teams to develop product roadmaps. Dennis was later promoted to the role of UX/UI Director, where they led design project conceptualization, strategy, and execution.
Dennis then joined Instaply in 2017 as a UX/UI Designer and Developer and remained there until 2020. During this time, they contributed to user experience and interface design.
From 2017 to 2020, Dennis worked at Truss Holdings, Inc., initially as a Lead Product Designer, where they functioned as a bridge across disciplines and led project kick-off meetings. Dennis then served as a Senior UX Designer and Design Lead, where they designed complex systems and collaborated with stakeholders to develop product roadmaps.
In 2020, Dennis joined Avison Young as a Lead Product Designer, where they designed and prototyped new features, developed a cross-platform design system, and collaborated with various teams to oversee the user experience of a product.
Most recently, since 2021, Dennis has been working at Weedmaps as a Senior Product Designer and currently holds the role of Lead Product Designer.
Dennis O'Neil attended The Art Institute of California - Hollywood from 2009 to 2011, where they focused on studying Web Design & Interactive Media. Afterward, they pursued an associate degree in Graphic Design at Bryant & Stratton. The specific years of attendance for Bryant & Stratton are not provided.
