Richard Hutchinson

Richard Hutchinson is an experienced designer with a robust background in menswear, currently serving as the Design Lead for Weekday since February 2019 and as a Senior Menswear Designer for Cheap Monday since February 2014. Previous roles include Founder and Creative Director at The Local Firm from January 2008 to January 2014, where responsibilities encompassed brand development and marketing. Hutchinson has also contributed to Tiger of Sweden as a Designer for the Tiger Jeans Collection and other denim lines from August 2002 to January 2008, and worked as a Designer at Acne Studios AB from August 2000 to April 2002, focusing on mens collections. Early career experience includes assisting the designer Roland Hjort at Whyred AB from August 1999 to July 2000. Richard Hutchinson holds a Bachelor's degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from Beckmans Designhögskola and has completed full-time studies in pattern construction and sewing at Stockholms Tillskärarakademien.
