Guillermo Rojas Vercher has extensive experience in the field of software development and engineering. Guillermo is currently working as an Engineering Lead at wefox since September 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Android Lead at wefox from January 2018 to September 2020. Guillermo also worked as an Android Developer at wefox from July 2015 to December 2017.
Before joining wefox, Guillermo worked at iProperty Company as an Android Developer from August 2014 to July 2015. In this role, they were responsible for designing and developing a new Android app, with expertise in Rest and API requests, as well as Material Design UI and UX redesign.
From March 2013 to May 2015, Guillermo was a co-founder and Apps Architect at Islabit.net, a development studio. Guillermo played a key role in all stages of projects, including design discussions, implementation, installation, product support, and bug fixing. Guillermo also gained experience in lean startup and lean management practices.
Guillermo also has experience as a Programming Professor at Grupo Fleming / Escuela Edib from February 2009 to June 2014. In this role, they taught object-oriented programming using Java and participated in development trainings and programming workshops.
Additionally, Guillermo worked as a Web & Android Developer at ERS-SOFT from September 2012 to January 2014, where they worked with MVC web frameworks and started development on various Android apps and prototypes.
As a freelance mobile app developer, Guillermo worked on their own projects from March 2013 to December 2013. Guillermo gained experience with frameworks like Phonegap and Appcelerator Titanium and worked with backends for hosting app logic and data.
Earlier in their career, Guillermo worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Instaladora 2001 from July 2011 to July 2012, where they worked on web maintenance for tourism companies and developed software for controlling Wi-Fi usage.
Guillermo's first professional experience was as an IT Technician at Fundació Universitat-Empresa de les Illes Balears from April 2008 to April 2011. In this role, they gained experience in web development using PHP, MySQL, and the Symfony framework. Guillermo also worked on the maintenance of Java J2SE desktop applications and had some experience as a sysadmin using Unix OS.
Guillermo Rojas Vercher began their education in 2005 when they attended Edexcel and obtained a HND in Software Engineering, specializing in Information Technology. In 2014, they attended Stanford University to pursue a course on Developing Apps for iOS. In 2015, Guillermo Rojas Vercher enrolled in Udacity for a program called UX Design for Mobile Developers.
