Manuel Duarte

Manuel Duarte has extensive experience in sales consulting and commercial representation, currently with WEG since September 2019. Prior to this role, Duarte had a long tenure at GE from 1992 to 2018, serving in various managerial positions where responsibilities included managing relationships with industrial clients in sectors such as steel and energy, significantly increasing annual revenue through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions. Earlier experience includes serving as a Technical Assistance Engineer at Equipamentos Villares S.A. from 1986 to 1992, where Duarte led installation and commissioning teams, achieving substantial cost reductions. Duarte began career as a Maintenance Technician at USIMINAS from 1978 to 1986, focusing on equipment installation and maintenance optimization, and started in the industry as a mechanical apprentice at General Motors from 1975 to 1977. Academic credentials include a postgraduate degree in Administration from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas and an Engineer's degree in Business Administration from Universidade Santa Cecília.
