Vismay Parmar is a Wind Turbine Loads and Simulations Engineer at WEG since January 2018, specializing in structural and aero-elastic modeling of wind turbine systems using FAST 7/OpenFAST. Responsibilities include simulating turbines for various scenarios as defined by IEC standards, producing system-level and component-level load documents, as well as power curve and annual energy production reports. Prior experience includes an internship at the Wind Energy Center, where Vismay Parmar focused on the feasibility of converting offshore wind energy to liquid ammonia and developed an analytical model in MATLAB for energy and production calculations. Vismay Parmar holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Renewable Energy Systems from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earned in 2018.
