Debela Merga (MBA, in Economics)

Debela Merga has a diverse and extensive work experience. Debela started their career as a Planning and Operation Officer at Oromia Credit & Saving S.C. in 2008 and worked there until 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Planning and Market Research Officer at Awash Insurance. In 2011, they joined Bunna Bank as a Planning and Market Research Officer and worked there for a year. Since 2012, they have been associated with Wegagen Bank, where they have held various roles. Debela started as a Senior Planning & Economic Research Officer and worked there until 2015. From 2015 to 2020, they served as the Manager of the Corporate Planning and Research Division. In 2020, they became the Director of Corporate Strategy and Change Management, and in 2021, they were appointed as the Chief, Risk and Compliance Officer at Wegagen Bank.

Debela Merga completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bahir Dar University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007.
