Carlos Franco de Magalhães

Carlos Franco de Magalhães has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Carlos Franco de co-founded Wegho in 2017 and serves as the CEO. Prior to that, Carlos worked at Lucios where they started as a Head of Planning and Management Control in 2011, overseeing various business areas including international investments in Mozambique, Algeria, and France. Carlos Franco de later transitioned to a role as a Board Advisor until 2019. Carlos Franco de also served as a Board Member at Livingdam from 2015 to 2019. Before their time at Lucios, Carlos was a Management Controller at Sonae from 2008 to 2011. Their professional career began as an Audit Analyst at Deloitte in 2007.

Carlos Franco de Magalhães has a diverse education history. In 2003 to 2007, they attended FEP U. Porto, where they pursued a degree in Management. Carlos Franco de furthered their education in 2010 at Porto Business School, focusing on Financial Analysis. In 2014 to 2016, they pursued an Internacional MBA (executive) at Católica Porto Business School, PUC São Paulo, and ESADE Barcelona.

In 2012, Carlos obtained the certification of Certified European Financial Analyst CEFA from EFFAS - The European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies.

Continuing their executive education, Carlos attended Harvard Business School in 2020 for a program on Launching New Ventures. Carlos Franco de further enhanced their skills in negotiation by attending an executive education program at Nova School of Business and Economics in 2022, specializing in Advanced Negotiation.
