Benson's legal career began as an Associate at several law firms before serving as a Judicial Clerk to Hon. Rya W. Zobel, United States District Judge. Benson holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Michigan Law School, a Master's degree in Chemistry from Stanford University, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Chicago.
