Donna D'Alessandro has extensive experience in the media industry, with a focus on programming, content strategy, and research. Donna is currently the EVP / Head of Content at Weigel Broadcasting Co., a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Discovery Inc for nine years, starting as the VP of Programming for Discovery Channel in 2012 and eventually becoming the SVP of Programming and Strategic Insights for Discovery Channel and Animal Planet. Before joining Discovery Inc, Donna held various roles at BET NETWORKS, NBC Universal, Rainbow Media, Warner Bros Domestic TV Distribution, and HRP, where they gained experience in program planning, strategy, research, and analysis.

Donna D'Alessandro has a diverse education history. Donna began their educational journey in 1994 when they enrolled at Fordham University. Donna studied Communications for four years and successfully earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998.

After working for several years, Donna returned to academia in 2008. Donna attended Baruch College for two years and pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing. Donna completed their MBA program in 2010 and gained comprehensive knowledge and skills in the field of Marketing.

In 2015, Donna further expanded their educational background by attending Georgetown University. Donna participated in the School of Continuing Studies and completed a certificate program in Data Analytics. This additional qualification enhanced their ability to analyze data effectively and stay updated with the latest trends in the field.
