Yangyi Xu has a diverse range of work experience in the field of design. From January 2018 to February 2019, they worked as a UX Design Intern at Truth Medical Tech Co., Ltd, where they designed user flows for RealVision and optimized the information architecture of RealEye. They conducted user testing with parents and expert testing with ophthalmologists.
In June 2020, Yangyi Xu joined Alibaba Cloud as a UX Design Intern. During this time, they designed and launched two features for DTwin, a low-code platform, and developed a Mixed Reality app for daily maintenance tasks. They also created a demo on Hololens that garnered interest in customer meetings.
From January 2020 to May 2021, Yangyi Xu worked as a UX Designer for the Georgia Institute of Technology. They collaborated with The Center for Inclusive Design & Innovation to design and prototype a web-based visualization system for occupational therapists. This system visualized toilet transfer data to assess the quality of transfers.
In January 2021, Yangyi Xu joined Bits of Good as a Product Designer for a brief period until May 2021. Finally, since July 2021 until March 2023, Yangyi Xu has been employed as a Product Designer at C3 AI.
Most recently, in March 2023, Yangyi Xu started working at Weights & Biases as a Product Designer.
Yangyi Xu has a diverse education history. From 2014 to 2019, they attended Zhejiang University and obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree. In 2017, as part of an exchange program, Yangyi Xu briefly studied architecture at Feng Chia University. Currently, from 2019 to 2021, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
