Mayra Trujillo is a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in various roles within the medical and educational fields. Currently serving as a Respiratory Student at Rush University since August 2021, Mayra has also been a ChicagoCHEC Research Fellow since June 2019. Additionally, Mayra holds the position of Lead Medical Assistant at Weil Foot Ankle and Orthopedic Institute since September 2017 and served as a GEAR UP Student Advocate at Foreman High School from June 2015 to September 2017. In this educational role, Mayra co-facilitated workshops, assessed student performance, and provided individualized tutoring. Early experience includes working as an Inclusion Aide at the Main-Niles Association of Special Recreation, advocating for individuals with disabilities. Mayra Trujillo earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northeastern Illinois University in 2017.
