Richard Olson

Richard Olson is a seasoned designer with over two decades of experience in various roles within the engineering and design sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Designer at Weil-McLain since October 2020, Richard previously held a similar title at Meggitt PLC from September 2009 to October 2020, where responsibilities included designing mold forms and patterns for flexible bladder fuel tanks and modifying designs for de-icing products. As the owner of a private contracting business from 2005 to 2010, Richard specialized in creating 3D models of sand castings and parts based on measurements and existing designs. Beginning the career as a CAE/CAD Specialist at Contech US LLC from July 1999 to April 2009, Richard holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Drafting and Design Technology from Kalamazoo Valley Community College and has furthered education at Western Michigan University.
