Rick Szambel

Rick Szambel is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking and distressed securities trading. Currently serving as the Managing Director at Weild & Co. since January 2023, Rick also founded Szambel Investments LLC in January 2022, focusing on trading special situation and distressed equities. Prior roles include Head of Distressed Securities at Clear Street LLC and Managing Director at BCS Global Markets, where Rick specialized in the legal interpretation of bankruptcy law. Throughout a career spanning over two decades, Rick has held senior positions at various firms, including Albert Fried & Company and Sunrise Securities Corp., contributing significantly to OTC trading and distressed securities markets. An author of "Rick's Notes," Rick provides insights on corporate actions related to distressed and special situation equities. Rick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
