Rene Backrass

Rene Backrass has worked at two different companies. From 2017 to present, they have been the Head of Mech. Engineering & System Design at Weisstechnik, a machine-building company in Mittelhessen. In this role, they are responsible for leading the areas of construction and system design, overseeing the technical and economic implementation of customer projects, ensuring compliance with international standards, and developing processes for project management. Rene also worked as the Deputy Head of Design from April 2019 to January 2020 and as a Mechanical Design Engineer from July 2017 to April 2019. Before joining Weisstechnik, Backrass worked as a Metalworker at Leo Müller & Sohn from January 2014 to June 2017.

From 2010 to 2014, they attended Schlosserei Piel where they pursued a degree in Konstruktionstechnik and became a Metallbauer.

Between 2015 and 2017, they enrolled in Staatliche Technikakademie Weilburg where they studied Maschinenbau-Konstruktion & Entwicklung and obtained the degree of Staatlich geprüfter Techniker.

From 2019 to 2020, they attended Berufs- und Technikerschule Butzbach where they pursued a degree in Technische Betriebswirtschaft and became a Technischer Betriebswirt, specializing in Technische Betriebswirtschaft.
