Barton joined Weitz Investments in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, he was a research analyst at Oak Value Capital Management and Trilogy Capital Management. Prior to his investment management experience, Barton worked at George K. Baum & Company and was a certified public accountant at Deloitte & Touche LLC. Barton has a bachelor's in accounting from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Washington University in Saint Louis.
