James Boyne

Jim joined Weitz Investments in 2018, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in the investment management industry, including serving as president and chief operating officer of Calamos Asset Management. He was also a co-founder and chief operating officer at McDonnell Investment Management, a privately held institutional investment manager, and was formerly a senior vice president with Van Kampen Investments. Jim also spent five years in the non-profit sector as executive director and member of the board of directors of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club in Colorado. Jim has a bachelor's in marketing from Northern Illinois University and earned his Juris Doctor from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.
