Howard Miao has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Howard began their career at Shanghai Pudong Development Bank as a Corporate Banking Senior Relationship Manager, where they worked from 2007 to 2013. Howard then joined Jiangxi Bank, first as a Subbranch Manager from 2013 to 2015, where they achieved a completion rate of 104% on the balance scorecard for the corporate banking sector. Howard was later promoted to General Manager of the Capital Market Department at Jiangxi Bank from 2015 to 2018. In this role, they were responsible for setting business objectives, strategic planning, and driving the development of the corporate banking sector. Howard is currently the Vice President at WeLab China, a role they have held since 2018. Howard'sresponsibilities at WeLab include overseeing fund operations and financing, managing business cooperation with financial institutions, and monitoring counterparty credit and compliance risks. Howard is also involved in institutional and government relations, managing investment flow and maintaining compliance and legal standing. Additionally, they are responsible for wealth management, creating wealth management projects, conducting financial product research, and providing users with investor education and research reports.
Howard Miao obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature from South China Normal University from 2003 to 2007. Howard then pursued further education and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the EMBA program at Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School from 2018 to 2020.
In addition to their academic degrees, Howard Miao has obtained additional certifications. Howard is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, which they obtained from the CFA Institute in August 2021. Howard also earned a Master of Business Administration certification from Washington University in St. Louis in August 2021.
