Jyrki Kataja

Jyrki Kataja has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and companies. Jyrki is currently serving as the Business Director at Welado since January 2021. Prior to this, Jyrki worked at NRC Group Finland from November 2018 to December 2020, where they held the positions of Head of Light Rail Construction and Construction Manager.

From January 2018 to October 2018, Jyrki worked at VR Track Oy as the Head of Development in the Construction Business Unit. During their time there, they were responsible for BU's process, LEAN, and BIM development.

Jyrki also held multiple roles at VR Track Oy, including Head of Tendering (January 2013 to December 2017) and Construction Manager (January 2011 to December 2012) in the Construction Business Unit. As Head of Tendering, they successfully led the offer calculation for two large Alliance deliveries: Tampere Light Rail (283 million Euros) and Raide-Jokeri in Helsinki (275 million Euros).

Prior to their time at VR Track Oy, Jyrki had experience as the Managing Director at Megasiirto Oy from March 2006 to December 2010, and as a Product Manager at VR-Rata Oy from January 2006 to March 2006.

Jyrki began their career as a Project Manager at Pöyry CM Oy in January 2002 and held the position until December 2005.

Jyrki Kataja started their education at Tampere University of Technology in 1992, and completed their studies in 2000. During this period, they pursued a degree in Construction Engineering and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in the respective field.
